Wow I have been in boston for a few days and hats off to you Bostonians.  It's hard to believe how much snow is here.  The streets look like tunnels through the snow.  I don't know how they are keeping up with it.  8 feet in Milton and unbelievable

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

Just a picture to show you how a coat of arms and family crest were designed.  The shield  is in the middle of the coat of arms or blazon of arms (a red background with a castle tower) and the symbol on top of the helmet (a rose)  is the family crest.  Everything around the outside is called "mantling" or decoration (such as the alligator supporters) and can be anything but the coat of arms and family crest are registered to the name.  If you have any questions please email us through the website and we can help you understand.

Happy New Year

Posted Jan 5th, 2015

Happy New Year, everyone.

Well, I'm sure everyone had a busy December.  I know that we did, with store and family.  We have a daughter and son in law and 2 granddaughters that moved to Singapore.  What an adventure.  Hopefully we will be going to visit them this year.  Again, we would like to thank everyone for visiting our website and if you have any suggestions to improve it, please feel free to let us know as there is always room for improvement.

Also, we will have some new specials for January, February seasons and invite you to take advantage of them.

If you already have your coat of arms and family crest and have no idea of the meaning of the symbols and colours, please email us a picture and we will be happy to send you an explanation.

Stay tuned for more updates and specials.

Our Christmas Season is officially kicking off with our annual Niagara On The Lake Candlelight Stroll on December 5th.  It is always so nice to see the stores decorated and the twinkle lights in the trees.  It's worth the trip to Niagara On The Lake to enjoy caroling and a beautiful stroll through our town.  The proceeds from the sale of candles, this year will be donated to "Box Run Foundation" in support of childhood cancer.  The Name Tree is open from 11 am until 6 pm.  Drop in and say hi.

What our customers say

  • We dropped in to The Name Tree while visiting Niagara On The Lake in November. Not knowing really what the store was all about, Peter explained why there was a Coat of Arms and Family Crest registered to our name and explained our Family History to us. We walked out with a Family History and Coat of Arms for both of our names and with a knowledge now of "heraldry" that we never had before. Thank you, Peter, for being so friendly and knowledgeable. We will tell our family and friends about your store.

  • "Chris and I are very pleased with the name history you made for his parents' 60th wedding anniversary gift. The quality is exceptional and the frame is exquisite. Thank you also for accommodating our last minute request and completing it as quickly as you did."
